Job Summary
The college is seeking applications from disciplined, experienced, and dedicated retired Ex-Army personnel for the position of Transport Officer (MTO). The candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the operations of the college buses and overall transport system, ensuring safe, smooth, punctual, and efficient transportation services for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of college buses and transport services.
- Ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation for students, faculty, and staff.
- Prepare bus routes, transport schedules, and driver duty rosters.
- Monitor maintenance, servicing, cleanliness, insurance, permits, and fitness of all college buses.
- Conduct regular inspections of college buses and ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Maintain discipline and operational efficiency among drivers, conductors, and transport staff.
- Keep records of vehicle movement, fuel consumption, repairs, breakdowns, and attendance.
- Coordinate with the college administration regarding transport planning and emergency requirements.
- Ensure adherence to traffic rules, institutional transport policies, and government regulations.
- Handle transport-related complaints, emergencies, accidents, and crisis situations effectively.
Eligibility Criteria
- Retired personnel from the Indian Army / Armed Forces preferred.
- Strong leadership, discipline, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage staff and maintain operational efficiency.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and record maintenance.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
