Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Costing & Billing Engineer to join our Interior Design Department.
The candidate will be responsible for project costing, estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, billing, rate analysis, and cost monitoring for interior design and execution projects.
The role requires close coordination with Clients, Architects, Interior Designers, Consultants, Vendors, Suppliers, and Site Execution Teams to ensure accurate project costing, timely billing, and effective cost control.
Experience in handling high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or premium interior projects will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project costing, estimates, and BOQs for interior design and execution projects.
- Analyse architectural, interior, civil, furniture, and MEP drawings to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Prepare, verify, and process client bills, work bills, subcontractor bills, and vendor bills.
- Prepare rate analysis, material quantity calculations, and comparative statements.
- Coordinate with Clients, Architects, Interior Designers, Consultants, and Site Teams for project-related costing and billing requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, material rates, quantities, specifications, and commercial negotiations.
- Track project expenses and monitor actual costs against approved budgets and estimates.
- Identify cost variations and support the project team in maintaining cost efficiency and profitability.
- Provide costing inputs to the Design and Site Execution Teams during project planning and execution.
- Maintain proper documentation of BOQs, estimates, quotations, bills, rate analyses, and project cost records.
- Conduct site visits whenever required for quantity verification, measurement, billing, and project assessment.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Interior Design / Construction Costing & Billing.
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or relevant qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, Quantity Take-off, Costing, Estimation, Billing, and Rate Analysis.
- Good understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, civil works, and MEP works.
- Experience in handling high-end interior projects will be an added advantage.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with clients, architects, designers, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Should be proactive, responsible, and commercially aware.
