Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Tutor / Assistant Professor in Anaesthesia Technology to join our academic team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students, conducting practical and clinical training, guiding students in academic activities, and contributing to the overall development of the Anaesthesia Technology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical classes for Anaesthesia Technology students.
- Teach subjects related to anaesthesia equipment, pharmacology, airway management, patient monitoring, perioperative care, and operation theatre procedures.
- Conduct demonstrations, practical sessions, tutorials, seminars, and case discussions.
- Supervise and guide students during clinical postings and practical training.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and question papers.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, and student evaluations.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, and other departmental documentation.
- Mentor students and provide academic and career guidance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Assist in curriculum planning and development of teaching-learning activities.
- Encourage students to participate in research, presentations, projects, and academic activities.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other academic and departmental responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Department.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Master's degree in Anaesthesia Technology / Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology / relevant allied health sciences discipline, as applicable to institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Anaesthesia Technology or equivalent.
- Relevant teaching and/or clinical experience is preferred for the Assistant Professor position.
- Candidates with strong clinical knowledge and an interest in teaching are encouraged to apply.
- Good communication, presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an academic and clinical team.
For Tutor Position
- Suitable for candidates with a relevant Bachelor's/Master's qualification in Anaesthesia Technology.
- Clinical experience and/or teaching experience will be an advantage.
- Fresh postgraduate candidates with good academic and practical knowledge may also be considered.
For Assistant Professor Position
- Relevant postgraduate qualification as required by the institution/regulatory body.
- Prior teaching and clinical experience preferred.
- Research, publications, conference participation, or academic experience will be an added advantage.
