The Principal of a Residential School is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and management of both academic and residential (boarding) operations. This role ensures a safe, disciplined, and nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and personally.
Academic Leadership :
- Plan, implement, and monitor the school curriculum and academic programs
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student performance
- Supervise and evaluate teachers and academic staff
- Promote continuous professional development for staff
Residential & Student Life Management :
- Oversee hostel/boarding facilities and student welfare
- Ensure proper supervision, discipline, and pastoral care of students
- Develop schedules for study, recreation, and extracurricular activities
- Address student behavioral, emotional, and social needs
Administration & Operations :
- Manage day-to-day school and residential operations
- Ensure compliance with education board regulations (CBSE/ICSE/State Board, etc.)
- Prepare and manage budgets, resources, and infrastructure
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and security standards on campus
Staff Management :
- Recruit, train, and supervise teaching and non-teaching staff
- Coordinate with wardens, counselors, and support staff
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
Parent & Community Engagement :
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents
- Organize parent meetings and provide updates on student progress
- Build strong relationships with the community and stakeholders

Additional Expectations (Residential Setting) :

Qualifications & Experience :
- Master’s degree in Education or relevant field (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred)
- 8–15 years of teaching experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a residential/boarding school is highly desirable
- Familiarity with education board norms and child safety regulations
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
