Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Integration Developer
Experience
4–7+ years in D365 F&O integrations and technical development
Role Overview
The D365 F&O Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and external or upstream/downstream enterprise systems. The role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable data exchange using Microsoft‑recommended integration patterns and Azure services.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Development
- Design and develop integrations between D365 F&O and external systems using:
- OData services
- Custom services
- Data Entities & DMF
- Business Events
- Implement batch, near‑real‑time, and event‑based integration patterns.
Azure & Middleware Integration
- Develop integrations using Azure Integration Services, including:
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Work with middleware or third‑party integration platforms where applicable.
Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with F&O functional consultants, solution architects, and data teams to translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD) and integration specifications.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews.
Testing, Deployment & Support
- Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
- Monitor and support integrations in production environments.
Security & Best Practices
- Implement secure integrations using Azure AD / Entra ID, OAuth, and service principals.
- Follow Microsoft best practices for error handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and performance optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- Strong hands‑on experience with D365 F&O integration patterns.
- Experience working with:
- Data entities and DMF
- OData APIs and custom services
- Solid knowledge of Azure integration components (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).
- Understanding of D365 F&O architecture and data model.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and release management.
Preferred
- Experience integrating D365 F&O with ERP, MES, PLM, Finance, or third‑party systems.
- Exposure to Business Events and real‑time integration scenarios.
- Knowledge of Finance, SCM, or Manufacturing functional processes.
