About Automotive Catalysts
We all have the right to breathe clean air, and at Umicore, we are a world leader in the production of automotive emission control catalysts. Our technologies enable on-road and non-road applications to meet environmental standards around the world. Our products have prevented billions of tons of harmful gases and particles being released into the atmosphere. To enable our customers to produce even cleaner engines we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data, reporting, and analytics initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical use cases
Design and support dashboards, KPIs, and self-service BI solutions
Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
Work closely with data engineering teams on data requirements and quality standards
Develop user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation
Recommend enhancements for existing BI and reporting solutions
Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve data literacy and adoption
Support data governance practices and ensure consistency in definitions and rules
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment
Participate in Agile processes and contribute to timely project delivery
Validate solutions and ensure quality before user acceptance testing
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis / BI / Data Analytics
- Degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data & Analytics, or related field
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, KPI definition, and process mapping
- Solid understanding of data modeling and BI concepts
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or Qlik
- Strong SQL skills and experience with databases or data warehouses
- Ability to create impactful dashboards and visualizations
- Familiarity with Azure data tools (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks)
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, or Data Mesh
- Business domain knowledge in finance, supply chain, operations, or procurement
- Exposure to ML/AI concepts
- Fluency in English (German is a plus)
