Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanical Designer responsible for the design, drafting, and coordination of HVAC systems for building and MEP projects. The candidate should have good knowledge of HVAC design principles, ducting and piping systems, equipment selection, preparation of technical drawings, and coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Design
· Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and other building projects.
· Perform or assist with heat load calculations and cooling/heating load estimation.
· Select suitable HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation fans.
· Design ducting systems, including supply, return, fresh-air, exhaust, and ventilation systems.
· Design HVAC chilled-water, condenser-water, refrigerant, and drain piping systems as applicable.
· Calculate duct and pipe sizes based on airflow, velocity, pressure drop, and system requirements.
· Prepare equipment schedules, design calculations, and technical documentation.
Drawings & Drafting
· Prepare detailed HVAC GA, layout, ducting, piping, schematic, and section drawings.
· Prepare HVAC shop drawings and construction drawings.
· Develop coordinated MEP drawings and resolve clashes with other disciplines.
· Prepare duct and pipe routing layouts, equipment room layouts, shaft layouts, and plant-room drawings.
· Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
· Maintain drawing standards, layers, annotations, dimensions, and revision control.
BOQ & Technical Documentation
· Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs, material schedules, and equipment schedules.
· Assist in preparation of technical specifications and tender documents.
· Review HVAC drawings and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
· Support estimation and procurement teams with technical information.
Coordination & Site Support
· Coordinate HVAC designs with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP services.
· Participate in design review and coordination meetings.
· Provide technical support to site/project teams during installation.
· Review site conditions and incorporate required design modifications.
· Assist in resolving installation and design-related technical issues.
Required Technical Skills
· Good knowledge of HVAC system design and engineering principles.
· Good understanding of heat load calculations, psychrometrics, ventilation, duct design, and pipe sizing.
· Knowledge of HVAC equipment and system selection.
· Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
· Knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM will be an advantage.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
· Knowledge of HVAC design standards and codes such as ASHRAE, IS, NBC, and relevant project specifications.
· Good understanding of HVAC materials, accessories, valves, dampers, insulation, and installation practices.
· Knowledge of MS Excel for calculations, schedules, and quantity take-offs.
Educational Qualification
· Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
· HVAC certification/diploma will be an added advantage.

· Good communication and coordination skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary -20k to 40k
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
