Key Responsibilities: • Independently execute tests for various functionalities and features of industrial safety products. • Set up and manage test environments and develop mechanisms to detect and capture defects. • Design and implement test strategies to address non-functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficient cycle times through automation and simulation. • Drive productivity improvements using DOE (Design of Experiments) methodologies, while maintaining product quality and compliance. • Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) of safety systems. • Apply strong logical reasoning and analytical skills to troubleshoot, validate, and enhance safety system performance. Preferred Experience: • Hands-on experience in engineering, commissioning, and maintenance of safety instrumented systems in process industries.
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. • 4–8 years of professional experience in industrial process control, specifically in safety systems such as Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire & Gas (F&G), High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), or Burner Management Systems (BMS)
Technical Skills & Certifications: • Expertise in Functional Safety standards, including IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC 61131-2, IEC 61131-3, NFPA, and FM. • Working knowledge of DCS, PLC, and Safety Instrumented Systems, with hands-on experience in configuration, commissioning, and maintenance. • Experience with Honeywell Safety Manager, FSC, HIMA, Triconex, ABB Safety Systems, Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC, and SCADA solutions. • Proficiency in programming per IEC61131-3 (e.g., FBD and related languages), and verifying engineering logic against C&E Matrices during FAT/SAT phases. • Understanding process safety versus process control requirements. • Familiarity with third-party communication protocols (HART, Profisafe) and field device integration. • TuV Functional Safety Engineer certification is preferred. • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Python, Selenium) and test/requirement management platforms (e.g., Jira) is advantageous
