Job PurposeTo assist the Proposal team in developing technical and commercial bids for upcoming projects. The trainee will leverage mechanical engineering concepts and AutoCAD skills to estimate material requirements, create layout drawings, and compile competitive tender documents under the direct mentorship of the HOD.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Estimation & Layouts
- Read, analyze, and interpret client tender documents and technical specifications.
- Create preliminary 2D equipment layouts and schematic drawings using AutoCAD for bid submissions.
- Prepare accurate material take-offs (MTO) and preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM).
Proposal Documentation & Co-ordination
- Compile technical bid dossiers, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and costing teams to gather pricing inputs.
- Maintain a structured repository of past proposals, standard templates, and vendor quotes at HO.
Client & Vendor Communication
- Assist in drafting clarifications to queries raised by clients during the pre-bid stage.
- Follow up with sub-vendors for technical quotes and specification sheets.
Eligibility Criteria - Education & Batch
- Degree: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation Year: 2026 batch only.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for modifying layouts and drawing interpretation.
- Strong fundamentals in core mechanical systems and engineering mathematics.
- High proficiency in MS Excel (for estimations) and MS Word/PowerPoint (for proposal writing).
Soft Skills
- Strong eye for detail and keen analytical mindset.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines during bid submissions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams.
