ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Ramgarh Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd, part of the MP Rungta Group,
is setting up a world-class DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) and
Power Plant facility in Madhya Pradesh. We are building a
high-performance team to drive this project from
construction through commissioning and operations.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Asst. Manager / Dy. Manager – Civil will serve as
second-in-command for the Civil Engineering function,
responsible for daily site supervision, construction
quality control, contractor management, and all on-ground
civil execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily site inspections across all active civil
work fronts and enforce quality and safety standards
- Review shop drawings, Bar Bending Schedules, and
formwork designs before authorizing commencement
- Track contractor progress against baseline schedule
daily; flag deviations proactively to the HOD
- Supervise all concrete operations — mix design,
batching, slump testing, compaction, curing — with
systematic cube sampling and record keeping
- Maintain site quality records: concrete test reports,
material certificates, NCRs, and inspection checklists
- Own all site documentation: DPR, Measurement Books,
GFC drawing registers, and material reconciliation
- Coordinate with procurement for timely civil material
delivery: cement, TMT bars, aggregates, shuttering
- Interface with mechanical, electrical, and piping teams
for foundation setting out and embedded items
- Raise and track RFIs with the design team
- Mentor junior engineers and site supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Must be from a Government Institute, NIT, or Reputed
Private Engineering College
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 6 to 8 years in Civil Engineering
- Must be from Sponge Iron / Power Plant / SMS Plant /
Rolling Mill / Integrated Steel Plant
- Hands-on site execution experience strongly preferred
KEY SKILLS:
- RCC construction and structural site supervision
- Concrete QA/QC — cube testing, slump testing per IS code
- Civil and structural drawing interpretation
- DPR and Measurement Book maintenance
- Daily contractor supervision and site discipline
- Equipment foundation setting out and precision grouting
- AutoCAD working knowledge
- Strong numeracy for quantity estimation
