Position: Auto Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to maintain and repair the electrical systems of the fleet, ensuring maximum vehicle availability and minimum electrical breakdowns. The candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, battery management, repair of alternators and starters, and maintaining electrical safety systems while supporting workshop productivity.
Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Electrical Maintenance
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems of buses and commercial vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are electrically fit for daily dispatch.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore vehicles to service promptly.
2. Breakdown Reduction
- Identify recurring electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Minimize roadside electrical breakdowns through effective diagnostics.
3. Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of all electrical systems.
- Inspect wiring harnesses, fuses, relays, sensors, and control units.
4. Battery Management
- Test, maintain, and replace batteries as required.
- Monitor battery health and improve battery life through proper maintenance practices.
5. Alternator & Starter Repair
- Diagnose and repair alternators, starter motors, charging systems, and related components.
- Ensure efficient operation of vehicle starting and charging systems.
6. Lighting & Safety Systems
- Maintain headlights, tail lamps, indicators, horn, cabin lighting, CCTV, GPS, and other electrical safety systems.
- Ensure all electrical safety equipment is functioning properly before vehicle dispatch.
7. Workshop Productivity
- Complete assigned electrical jobs within prescribed turnaround time (TAT).
- Maintain high productivity while ensuring repair quality.
8. Spare Parts Management
- Monitor consumption of electrical spare parts and maintain inventory records.
- Prevent stock-outs and reduce unnecessary spare consumption.
9. Cost Control
- Optimize electrical maintenance costs without compromising quality.
- Recommend repair methods that improve equipment life and reduce expenses.
10. Complaint Resolution
- Attend driver-reported electrical complaints promptly.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues affecting vehicle performance.
11. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors and fellow technicians.
- Support junior electricians and share technical knowledge.
12. Safety Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure zero electrical accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
13. Documentation & Reporting
- Update job cards, repair history, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
14. Fuel Monitoring Support
- Resolve wiring, sensor, GPS, and electrical issues affecting fuel monitoring systems.
- Support accurate functioning of fleet monitoring devices.
15. Training & Skill Development
- Participate in technical training programs.
- Stay updated with new vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic technologies.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with batteries, alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, and lighting systems.
- Knowledge of GPS, CCTV, and vehicle monitoring systems.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and use diagnostic equipment.
- Good troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Automobile, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician in bus fleets, commercial vehicles, logistics, or automobile workshops.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, electrical fault diagnosis, and fleet electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Pay: Up to ₹31,040.00 per month
