Role Purpose
The SAP PS Lead / Principal Consultant is responsible for leading complex SAP Project Systems solutions, including design, configuration, implementation, integration, and support across enterprise programs. This role requires deep functional expertise in SAP PS, strong solution design capability, and leadership in managing stakeholders, delivery teams, and cross-functional integrations. The incumbent is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, provide strategic direction, and drive successful project outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PS solutions across large-scale programs and transformations.
Define end-to-end project structure, including WBS elements, networks, milestones, budgeting, planning, settlements, and cost controls.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP PS solutions.
Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Plant Maintenance, Sales, and other functional areas to ensure integrated process design.
Manage complex integration points with SAP modules such as CO, FI, MM, SD, PPM, and CATS, as applicable.
Lead workshops, blueprinting sessions, solution reviews, and design authority discussions.
Configure and support project planning, execution, monitoring, settlement, and reporting processes.
Provide expert guidance on project cost collection, results analysis, revenue recognition, and capitalization processes where relevant.
Oversee testing, defect resolution, deployment support, and post-go-live stabilization.
Mentor junior consultants and guide team members on SAP PS best practices and project methodology.
Support governance, risk management, issue escalation, and stakeholder communication across the program lifecycle.
Contribute to process improvement, solution standardization, and strategic SAP roadmap decisions.
Competency Requirements
1. Functional and Technical Expertise
Deep expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS) processes and configuration.
Strong knowledge of project structuring, WBS, networks, milestones, budgets, scheduling, and settlement.
Experience with integration between SAP PS and FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, and other modules.
Understanding of project costing, revenue recognition, project settlement, availability control, and reporting.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA project management capabilities and related innovations.
Ability to troubleshoot complex functional and integration issues.

Ability to design end-to-end SAP PS solutions that align with business and enterprise architecture requirements.
Experience leading blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, and design workshops.
Proven ability to translate business needs into optimized system design and configuration.

Experience in large transformation, rollout, or support environments.

Typically 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with significant focus on SAP PS.

Strong documentation, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
SAP PS certification is preferred.
Additional SAP certifications in CO, FI, or S/4HANA are an advantage.
15 years full time education
