About Fataka Glimpse
Fataka Glimpse is a travel and lifestyle content channel focused on exploring places, experiences, food, culture, and everyday stories through engaging, relatable, and personality-driven videos.
We are looking for a Junior Video Editor who can become a consistent part of our content workflow and help turn raw footage into engaging YouTube videos and short-form content.
This is not just a basic cutting-and-joining role. We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, music, B-roll, transitions, audience retention, and the overall feel of a vlog.
What You'll Do
- Edit YouTube travel/lifestyle vlogs from raw footage to final delivery.
- Create engaging sequences with proper pacing, storytelling, B-roll and music.
- Clean and organize footage before editing.
- Add suitable background music, sound effects, transitions, text, subtitles and other necessary elements.
- Maintain continuity and ensure the final video feels natural and engaging.
- Follow the creative direction and editing style of Fataka Glimpse.
- Make revisions based on feedback and deliver the final version within the agreed timeline.
- Edit short-form content such as Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts when required.
- Organize project files, footage, assets and exports properly.
- Maintain consistency in editing style across videos.
- Stay updated with current editing trends, storytelling techniques and social-media formats.
What We're Looking For
- Basic to good knowledge of DaVinci Resolve/Adobe Premiere Pro or another professional editing software.
- Good understanding of cuts, pacing, music, B-roll, transitions and storytelling.
- Ability to understand why a shot should be used, not just how to place it on a timeline.
- Good sense of music selection and synchronization.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to take feedback positively and implement revisions accurately.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work consistently.
- Willingness to learn and improve.
- Someone who takes ownership of their work rather than waiting for instructions for every small step.
Freshers Are Welcome
If you are a fresher with a strong portfolio, editing samples, or personal projects, you are welcome to apply.
What matters more than a long résumé is whether you can actually edit well, understand storytelling, and deliver on time.
Preferred Skills
- DaVinci Resolve
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Basic color correction
- Basic audio cleanup
- Subtitles/captions
- YouTube vlog editing
- Reels/Shorts editing
- Understanding of YouTube audience retention
- Basic knowledge of thumbnail/visual composition is a plus
