Company Description Studio 7 Film Productions, founded in 2017 in Ranchi by photographer and filmmaker Ankush Kasera, is a full-service production house with a strong focus on visual storytelling. The studio specializes in documentary and ad films, commercial photography, content creation, graphic design, and wedding, pre-wedding, and event photography and videography. Over the years, the team has collaborated with leading global brands and institutions, including National Geographic, Discovery, Incredible India, HBO, and government tourism bodies. In addition to media production, the company offers interior decoration services such as interior art, curated frames, and art curation for premium spaces. A young, skilled team of editors, designers, photographers, and cinematographers drives the studio’s core strength in creating authentic, visually rich travel films.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professional Photographer role based in Ranchi. The Professional Photographer will plan and execute photo shoots for commercial projects, documentaries, weddings, events, and travel films, ensuring alignment with client requirements and creative direction. Daily responsibilities include setting up lighting and equipment, capturing high-quality images, managing shoot logistics, and collaborating closely with directors, cinematographers, designers, and editors. The role includes selecting, retouching, and organizing photos, maintaining a consistent visual style across projects, and preparing images for print, digital, and social media use. The photographer will also support content creation for brand campaigns, contribute to creative concepts, and maintain equipment and file management workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong technical photography skills, including proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting setups, and studio equipment.
- Experience in commercial, event, wedding, and travel photography, with a portfolio demonstrating composition, visual storytelling, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in photo editing and post-production using tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, including color correction and retouching.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary creative teams and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills for planning shoots, managing schedules, and maintaining digital asset libraries.
- Comfort working on-site and on location, with flexibility for varied hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
- Formal training in photography, visual arts, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent professional experience is also valued.
- Knowledge of videography or familiarity with film sets is a plus, especially for documentary and ad film projects.
