An Accounts Assistant supports the finance team in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in transactions. The role is essential for smooth financial operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records (invoices, receipts, payments)
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Process invoices, expense claims, and vendor payments
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Skills Required
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software Tally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Basic understanding of taxation (GST/VAT, etc.)
- Time management and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
- Certification in accounting (optional but beneficial
