Functional Consultant – Finance & Software (Zoho Books)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Functional Consultant with a background in Finance/Accounting and an interest in low-code/no-code platforms. This role is ideal for freshers and early professionals who want to build their career at the intersection of finance + technology.
You will support finance teams and technical teams by understanding business needs, configuring Zoho applications (especially Zoho Books), and helping automate financial workflows using low-code tools.
- Understand client business processes, workflows, and financial requirements.
- Implement, configure, and optimize Zoho Books, Zoho Finance Suite, and related Zoho applications.
- Design and build low-code/no-code business solutions using Zoho Creator, workflows, automation, and custom functions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business needs into system configurations.
- Provide functional support during implementation, testing, and go-live phases.
- Prepare documentation for requirements, process flow, UAT, and training.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on Zoho Books and related systems.
- Troubleshoot financial module issues and coordinate with the technical team for fixes.
- Work on integration requirements between Zoho Books and other business systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting quality, and compliance with finance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Management, or related fields.
- Understanding of basic accounting concepts such as invoicing, GST, expenses, ledgers, reconciliation, and financial statements.
- Basic understanding of software applications, business workflows, and cloud platforms.
- Exposure to Zoho Books or any accounting software (even academic/project-based) is preferred.
- Willingness to learn Zoho applications like Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Analytics.
- Basic ability to create low-code workflows, forms, or simple automation (training will be provided).
- Good analytical thinking, communication skills, and a problem-solving approach.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage basic client interactions.
- Experience with ERP/Accounting systems implementation.
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, or reporting tools.
- Hands-on with data migration, Excel, and dashboards.
