Required Wirecut Programmer Cum Setter
Key Responsibilities of a Wirecut Setter:
- Setting up and Programming:This includes mounting workpieces, selecting appropriate wire and tooling, and programming the machine using Machine or CAD CAM software or by manually inputting parameters.
- Operating the Machine:Monitoring the cutting process, adjusting machine controls, and ensuring the machine runs smoothly and efficiently to produce parts that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving any issues that may arise during machine operation, including wire breakage, machining errors, or quality defects.
- Quality Control:Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances and dimensions, using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance tasks on the machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings:Understanding technical drawings and specifications to accurately program and operate the machine.
- Following Safety Procedures:Adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wire EDM principles, machine operation, and programming.
- CAD/CAM Proficiency: Experience with Machine or CAD/CAM software for generating and modifying machine programs.
- Precision Measurement: Ability to accurately use measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve machine issues and quality problems.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with other team members and supervisors.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
