Role OverviewWe are looking for an empathetic and strategic UX design leader who combines strong product thinking, hands-on design execution, and design operations expertise. As Senior Manager – UI/UX Design, you will lead UX outcomes for platform journeys (including UI engineering), mentor team members and partner with stakeholders across functions. You will play a critical role in shaping scalable, high-quality user experiences while fostering a collaborative, growth-focused design culture.
Key Responsibilities
UX Leadership Product Thinking
- Lead design execution and interface development across products within an assigned digital track (e.g., onboarding, servicing, enterprise tools).
- Translate business goals and user needs into seamless, functional, and aesthetically strong user interfaces.
- Drive interaction design, IA, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI specs.
- Guide junior team members on structured UX thinking, frameworks, and delivery expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to co-create effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Chief Managers / Head of UX to align experience goals with business outcomes.
- Ensure design feasibility and consistency through iterative testing and implementation checks.
Design Operations Mentorship
Mange design operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality deliverables - without compromising quality.
- Review and elevate team deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand and accessibility standards.
- Support team development via mentorship, design critiques and skill upskilling.
- Guide team members on applying research-driven design decisions.
- Coordinate design priorities, Jira boards, and sprint-level visibility with product teams.
- Drive efficiency and agility using AI tools.
Required Skills Qualifications
- UX Principles: Strong understanding ofUX design principles, research methodologies anddesign thinking framework
- Storytelling: Ability to convey ideas and concepts through compelling storytelling.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills with a stronganalytical mindset.
- Collaboration: Effective communicator with cross-functional and senior stakeholders.Mentorship: Proven ability to coach and grow junior designers.
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in UI/UX design, with at least2 years in a lead/people managementrole.
- UI Design Engineering: Standard design tools and front-end development tools.
- Collaboration: Miro, Whiteboarding tools
- Project Management: JIRA, Confluence
Preferred
- Experience ininsurance, fintech, or BFSI domains is a plus.
- Exposure toaccessibility standards, responsive design, and scalable design systems.
- Strong analytical mindset to turn research into structured problem-solving.
- Portfolio: An online portfolio showcasing product design work, analytical decision-making, design operations and strategic thinking.
