About the Role
We're looking for an Associate – Fund Operations & Finance to join our investment management team in Mumbai.
The role spans fund operations, accounting and finance, investment support and transaction execution. The candidate will work closely with senior management and progressively take independent ownership of key workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting and finance of the Investment Manager, including books of accounts, reconciliations, payments, statutory compliances, financial reporting and audit coordination.
- Review Fund accounting, expenses, capital accounts, NAV workings and investor records maintained by external service providers.
- Manage capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, investor reporting and related records.
- Coordinate with the fund administrator, RTA, auditors, legal counsel, bankers, compliance consultants and other external service providers.
- Track regulatory, statutory and contractual deliverables and maintain complete Fund documentation and records.
- Support investment transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, documentation, conditions-precedent tracking and closing.
- Analyse the financial and operating performance of prospective and existing portfolio companies.
- Support senior management on financial, transaction-related and strategic assignments across Alanar and the broader group.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
- Strong accounting and financial-statement fundamentals.
- Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Tally is preferred.
- High attention to detail, ownership and ability to work independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in accounting, audit, financial services, fund accounting, AIF/PE/VC, transaction advisory or corporate finance is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Freshly qualified CAs and candidates with approximately 0–2 years of post-qualification experience are welcome to apply.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
