Job Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for managing the reception area, attending to patients and visitors, coordinating appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring smooth front-office operations. The role requires excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to provide high-quality customer service in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and attendants in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle patient registration, admissions, and appointment scheduling.
- Manage incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the hospital management system.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports related to appointments, admissions, and front-office activities.
- Handle billing-related documentation and support administrative processes when required.
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and patient-friendly.
- Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate authority when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility.
- Good communication skills in Malayalam and English. Knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and hospital management software.
- Pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
