The Cafeteria Associate supports the daily operations of the hospital cafeteria by preparing and serving food, assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role provides excellent service to hospital staff, visitors, and guests while helping create a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Prepare simple food items and assist with food presentation and portioning.
- Set up, replenish, and monitor serving stations throughout meal periods.
- Operate cash registers and accurately process payments.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining spaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines at all times.
- Restock inventory, supplies, and condiments as needed.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries according to established procedures.
- Support catering requests and hospital events when required.
- Perform opening and closing duties and assist with other food service tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic cash-handling and customer service experience preferred.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per year
