Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, preparing financial statements, maintaining compliance, and supporting financial planning. This role ensures financial integrity and helps drive business decisions through financial insights.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and posted in accounting systems.
- Review, reconcile, and analyze accounts to ensure correctness and completeness.
2. General Ledger Management
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of entries.
- Perform periodic ledger reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, expenses).
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to spot discrepancies, errors, or issues.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly forecasts.
- Track budget vs. actual results and highlight variances with explanations.
- Support the management in financial planning decisions.
4. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and applicable tax laws (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Coordinate with external auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Prepare schedules, statements, and documents required by auditors.
5. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee vendor payments and ensure timely settlements.
- Manage customer billing, collections, and aging reports.
- Implement effective controls for receivables and payables.
6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments of taxes and statutory dues.
- Support tax consultants in preparing returns and assessments.
7. Cash Flow Management
- Monitor company cash flow, bank balances, and working capital needs.
- Prepare cash flow projections and recommend optimization strategies.
8. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting tasks.
9. Team Support & Coordination
- Guide and support junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Provide financial insights to help business units improve performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance (CA/ICWA/ MBA Finance preferred)
✔ Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/SAP)
✔ Strong understanding of Indian tax laws and compliance
✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Attention to detail and accuracy
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,521.24 - ₹25,000.00 per month
