Roles & Responsibilities
· Act as a technical bridge between customers, sales, and engineering teams, providing application-level solutions for industrial and production-line challenges.
· Lead on-site troubleshooting of production lines to identify and resolve issues related to quality defects, process inefficiencies, downtime, and yield loss.
· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies to address recurring quality and performance issues.
· Support sales activities through technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and feasibility studies.
· Work closely with customer production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize processes and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
· Provide pre-sales and post-sales application support, including solution selection, sizing, integration, commissioning, and performance validation.
· Translate customer pain points into customized technical solutions, especially for high-precision and safety-critical environments.
· Interface with internal design, R&D, and manufacturing teams to feedback field issues and drive product or solution improvements.
· Assist in preparation of technical documentation, application notes, validation reports, and SOPs required for regulated industries.
· Conduct training sessions for customer operators, engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure correct usage and long-term performance.
· Travel to customer sites as on regular basis for application study, site surveys, installations, trials, audits, and troubleshooting support.
· Build long-term customer relationships by acting as a trusted technical advisor, contributing to repeat business and account growth.
· Monitor market trends, competitor solutions, and emerging technologies relevant to industrial automation and production systems.
Preferred Background & Exposure
- Prior hands-on experience working with or supporting industrial consumables, high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of production line equipment, automation systems, quality control processes, and industrial safety practices.
- Experience handling capital equipment sales or application engineering roles in industrial sectors.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites and make data-driven technical decisions under pressure.
