Akashvani is a modern astrology and spiritual guidance platform rooted in Indian wisdom. We are looking for a creative Video Editor who understands social media, trends, music and, most importantly, what makes people stop scrolling.
Key Responsibilities
- Create highly engaging Reels, Shorts and social media videos with strong hooks and storytelling.
- Take clips, snippets, interviews, podcasts or long-form videos and turn them into compelling, shareable/viral moments.
- Identify the most powerful 5–30 seconds from a video and build an engaging edit around it.
- Create emotional, thought-provoking and curiosity-driven content that makes viewers stop, watch and share.
- Follow Instagram/YouTube trends and quickly adapt relevant formats, sounds and editing styles.
- Have a strong understanding of Hindi, Bollywood, devotional and spiritual music and use music to enhance emotion.
- Use AI video generation and creative tools to enhance content and experiment with new formats. Familiarity with tools such as Higgsfield, Claude and other AI video/image generation tools is preferred.
- Experiment with pacing, cuts, text, sound effects, transitions, AI-generated visuals and storytelling to maximise retention.
- Work quickly and deliver high-quality edits within tight timelines.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of commercial video editing experience.
- Strong portfolio of Reels/Shorts/social content.
- Excellent sense of hooks, pacing, music and storytelling.
- Strong understanding of what makes content viral/shareable.
- Fast, trend-aware and highly creative.
- Strong affinity for Hindi/Bollywood and spiritual music.
- Knowledge of AI-powered content creation tools and willingness to experiment with new AI tools.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut or similar.
Portfolio: Please share a link to your portfolio/showreel showcasing your best work, particularly Reels, Shorts, viral/social media edits, commercial projects and AI-generated video content.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
