Role Focus: HTLS & OPGW Work1. HTLS (High-Temperature Low-Sag) Conductors
HTLS conductors are advanced transmission line conductors used to increase power transfer capacity without changing the existing tower structures. They allow the line to carry more current with lower sag and better thermal performance.
What experience is required?
- Hands‑on experience in reconductoring projects using HTLS conductors.
- Knowledge of different HTLS types (e.g., ACCC, ACSS, GZTACSR, INVAR).
- Experience in managing shutdowns, stringing operations, tensioning, and safety protocols.
- Ability to handle challenges such as:
- Existing live line clearances
- Working in constrained tower corridors
- Hotline tools / live line methodologies (preferred)
2. OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) Installation
OPGW is a composite cable used in transmission lines that provides grounding and fiber optic communication simultaneously.
Required knowledge:
- Installation, stringing, jointing, and testing of OPGW cables.
- Familiarity with equipment such as:
- Stringing machines
- Tensioners
- Fiber splicing tools
- Understanding of:
- Route survey
- Fiber continuity testing (OTDR/Power Meter)
- Earthing/termination procedures
3. Master Installer Training (Preferred)
Candidates with Master Installer certification are preferred because it indicates:
- Advanced technical skills in conductor installation
- Ability to lead complex installations safely
- Knowledge of best‑practice installation standards
- Capability to guide teams on site and ensure quality compliance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
