About the position
Statcon Electronics India Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Lead to join the Finance & Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate accounting, and supporting financial operations in compliance with statutory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee comprehensive records of accounts payable and receivable, strategically managing cash flow to ensure timely vendor payments and efficient customer collections.
- Transaction Processing: Oversee the accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and financial vouchers to maintain clean and reliable accounting records.
- Closing Activities: Oversee monthly and annual closing activities by executing comprehensive account reconciliations and preparing accurate financial reports.
- Documentation & Filing: Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions and records.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments for invoice approvals and expense validations.
- Statutory Compliance: Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities, including return filings.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and update cash flow statements, petty cash records, and fund transfers.
- Asset Management: Assist in maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Account Reconciliations: Reconcile vendor and customer accounts on a regular basis.
- Audits & Internal Controls: Support the finance team in audits by preparing required data and documentation, while ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- External Liaison: Liaise with banks, vendors, and external auditors as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's/master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance—preferably within a manufacturing or electronics company—with at least 4 years of proven experience leading an accounts department.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other accounting software. Familiarity with ERP accounting modules is an added advantage.
- Compliance Knowledge: Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.
- Core Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, alongside excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
