About the Role
SkillsNCR is hiring an HR & Communication Intern for a pilot project in Gurugram.
This is a full-time, in-person office role designed for someone who wants hands-on exposure across HR, hiring, people coordination, communication coaching and day-to-day operations.
The role will begin as a 3-month internship, with the intention to convert the right candidate into a Full-Time Employee (FTE) based on performance, ownership and business requirements.
We are currently an early-stage initiative, so the compensation will be at an internship / entry-level level, but the role offers high exposure, direct responsibility and the opportunity to work closely with the core team.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR & People Coordination
- Support hiring for interns, associates and other roles
- Screen applications from LinkedIn, Indeed and other hiring platforms
- Conduct initial candidate conversations and screening calls
- Schedule and coordinate interviews
- Maintain candidate records and follow-up trackers
- Help with onboarding and basic documentation
- Coordinate attendance, schedules and internal communication
- Support employee/intern engagement activities
- Help create basic HR processes, trackers and SOPs
- Assist in building a professional and positive workplace culture
Communication Coaching
A key part of the role will be helping students and team members improve their communication.
You may be involved in:
- Conducting speaking and communication practice sessions
- Helping students improve confidence, presentation and articulation
- Conducting mock presentations, discussions and role plays
- Providing structured feedback on communication and presentation skills
- Helping students prepare for presentations, interviews, group discussions and public speaking
- Encouraging students to communicate clearly and confidently in English
- Supporting activities, workshops and student engagement sessions
You do not need to be a professional communication trainer already, but you should be a strong communicator yourself and be comfortable helping others improve.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Confident personality and comfortable interacting with different people
- Good English communication
- Interest in HR, recruitment, training, education or people development
- Comfortable speaking with students, candidates and professionals
- Organized and good at follow-ups
- Comfortable using Google Sheets, Docs, email and basic office tools
- Willingness to learn and take ownership
- Ability to work independently without needing constant supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Preferred Background
Candidates pursuing or recently completing:
- MBA / PGDM – HR
- BBA / B.Com / BA / Psychology
- Human Resources
- English / Communication
- Education / Training
- Or any related discipline
Freshers with strong communication and the right attitude are welcome.

Future Opportunity: Potential conversion to Full-Time Employee after successful completion of the internship
This is not a remote internship.
Compensation
We are currently running a pilot project, so the initial compensation will be in the form of a stipend / entry-level salary.
However, the role offers:
- Direct exposure to recruitment and HR operations
- Opportunity to conduct communication and training sessions
- Experience working directly with students and professionals
- Opportunity to help build HR processes from the ground up
- Close interaction with the founding/core team
- Significant responsibility from an early stage
- Potential conversion to a full-time role after 3 months
