We are seeking a dynamic and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales operations and drive growth in the FMCG oleo chemicals segment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in field sales, strong market knowledge, and the proven ability to develop regional markets while managing distributor networks and key accounts. This role offers significant autonomy and accountability for achieving regional sales targets.
- Regional Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales plans and strategies to achieve and exceed targets. Set performance metrics and KPIs for team and monitor achievement regularly.
- Market Development & Growth: Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base in assigned region. Penetrate untapped market segments and establish new distribution channels.
- Distributor & Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts. Provide market support and sales tools to enhance distributor performance. Resolve customer issues and escalations promptly.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor regional sales team (if applicable) to achieve sales excellence. Provide ongoing training and coaching to improve team capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution. Coordinate product availability and logistics to support sales objectives.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track sales metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence; analyze and report progress to senior management.
- Experience: 4–5 years of field sales experience.
- Track Record: Proven track record in FMCG or oleo chemicals segment with consistent achievement of targets.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of soya oil, rice bran oil, refined glycerin markets, and oleo chemical industry dynamics.
- Leadership Abilities: Ability to lead by example and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to articulate value propositions and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to decision making with ability to analyze market trends and optimize strategies.
- Energy & Drive: High energy and drive with the ability to work independently, deliver results under pressure, and thrive in competitive environments.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (40–50% travel).
