Job Position - Service Manager
Location - Govandi, Mumbai
Salary upto 60k gross
Key Responsibilities
- Department Profitability: Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, control department costs, and track metrics like the Average Repair Order (ARO) and labor utilization.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage service advisors and technicians. Set daily/weekly goals and foster a highly productive, motivated team environment.
- Customer Retention & Support: Oversee the handling of customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure that Service Advisors proactively communicate repair statuses and that vehicles are fixed right the first time.
- Workshop Operations: Ensure the shop floor runs smoothly by managing technician dispatch, bay productivity, and parts availability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of automotive management experience (e.g., as a Service Advisor, Workshop Supervisor, or Service Business Manager).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of automobile mechanics, diagnostics, and modern vehicle technologies.
- Key Skills: Strong financial acumen, conflict resolution, proficiency with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), and excellent team leadership.
- Licensure: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
