The Team
We are seeking an Intune Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the endpoint strategy across our organisation. This is a senior technical position for an engineer who combines deep hands-on expertise with the ability to influence at scale, covering the full endpoint lifecycle and delivering outcomes that directly support business operations and executive priorities. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise across application packaging, Microsoft Intune and SCCM administration, OS deployment strategy, and advanced Power BI reporting. This role carries clear accountability for driving operational excellence, defining standards, and ensuring the endpoint estate is secure, performant, and aligned to organisational objectives. You will serve as the senior escalation point for complex 3rd line issues, provide strategic direction to Field Services, and act as a primary technical interface with senior internal stakeholders and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering endpoint programmes on time and at scale, managing competing priorities across a broad stakeholder landscape, and driving continuous improvement across the platform..
How you will contribute
1. Application Packaging:
- Package and test applications for deployment using industry-standard tools (e.g. PSADT, Patch My PC, Win32 content prep tool)
- Maintain packaging standards and versioning across the application catalogue
- Troubleshoot failed deployments and resolve packaging defects.
2. Microsoft Intune Administration:
- Manage application deployment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access in Microsoft Intune
- Support Autopilot enrolment and device provisioning workflows
- Maintain co-management configuration alongside SCCM
- Handle device lifecycle actions including wipes, retirements, and re-enrolments
3. SCCM Administration:
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot task sequences for OS deployment and in-place upgrades
- Manage driver packages — import, categorise, and maintain drivers for hardware models across the estate
- Configure and maintain Automatic Deployment Rules (ADRs) for software update management
- Oversee OS deployment (OSD) end-to-end, including boot images, PXE, and deployment media
- Manage distribution points, content distribution, and boundary configuration
- Troubleshoot client health, policy retrieval, and deployment failures
4. 3rd Line Support- PC Estate:
- Act as the escalation point for complex endpoint issues raised by Field Services that cannot be resolved at 1st or 2nd line
- Investigate and resolve advanced hardware, software, and configuration issues across the PC estate
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer and articles to Field Services engineers to improve first-time fix rates
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams to drive resolution of escalated issues
- Document resolutions and contribute to the knowledgebase to reduce repeat escalations
5. Power BI Administration & Reporting:
- Own and administer the Power BI environment including workspace management, dataset refresh, and access control
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for endpoint operational metrics (e.g. compliance, deployment success rates, patch status, OSD telemetry)
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate them into actionable visuals
- Maintain and develop data pipelines feeding into Power BI where applicable
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager
- Strong SCCM/ConfigMgr experience including OSD, task sequences, ADRs, and driver management
- Solid application packaging experience (Win32, MSI, MSIX)
- Power BI development and administration experience
- PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and endpoint management
- Experience providing 3rd line escalation support in a large enterprise PC environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Autopilot and co-management scenarios
- Familiarity with Patch My PC or similar third-party update catalogues
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment
- Power BI development and administration experience
