We are looking for a responsible and experienced Production Supervisor / Rice Mill to oversee daily Rice mill operations, ensuring smooth production, quality control, manpower management, and timely dispatch of finished products. The candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily rice mill production activities, including cleaning, drying, milling, grading, and packaging processes.
- Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion as per schedule.
- Manage and coordinate shop-floor workers, machine operators, and helpers.
- Ensure proper utilization of machinery and minimize production downtime.
- Maintain quality standards for raw paddy, processed rice, and by-products.
- Conduct routine inspections of machines and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
- Monitor stock movement of raw materials, finished goods, and packing materials.
- Prepare daily production reports and submit updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and operational guidelines.
- Handle workforce attendance, shift allocation, and discipline on the production floor.
- Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate/Diploma in any discipline (Agriculture, Mechanical, Production, or related field preferred).
- 2–8 years of experience in a Rice Mill, Flour Mill, Food Processing Unit, or Manufacturing Industry.
- Good knowledge of rice milling processes and production operations.
- Strong team management and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Production Reporting, Inventory Records).
- Ability to work in shifts when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in handling production teams and achieving daily output targets.
- Knowledge of quality control and inventory management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with maintenance, stores, and dispatch departments.
