Event Management Role Summary
Shell is seeking a ServiceNow Event Management Developer to support and enhance our enterprise monitoring, observability, and automation capabilities.
The role focuses on event ingestion, alert correlation, automation, and integrations, including SteamConnect / Kafka‑based event streaming, in a large‑scale, global IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and customize ServiceNow Event Management (ITOM)
- Build and support event ingestion pipelines, including:
- SteamConnect
- Kafka‑based streaming integrations
- Develop and manage:
- Event and alert rules
- Alert correlation and deduplication
- Alert enrichment and noise reduction
- Integrate monitoring tools with ServiceNow (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, SCOM, Prometheus)
- Implement alert‑driven automation and remediation
- Ensure accurate linkage of alerts, CIs, and services (CMDB, Service Mapping)
- Create operational dashboards and reports for NOC and operations teams
- Provide Level‑3 support and participate in upgrades and releases
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years of hands‑on ServiceNow development
- Strong experience with Event Management (mandatory)
- Experience with SteamConnect and Kafka event streaming
- Good understanding of:
- Monitoring and observability concepts
- Alert lifecycle and correlation
- JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting experience
- Experience with REST APIs and integrations
Good to Have
- ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping
- AIOps / Alert Intelligence exposure
- Experience in large, regulated, global enterprises
- ITIL v4 certification

Budget upto -25 LPA

Pay: ₹443,374.53 - ₹2,510,105.39 per year
