Job Title: Safety Officer
Location: Rabale, Navi Mumbai
Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Key Responsibilities
1.Compliance & Advisory
Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, 1948 and other statutory safety regulations.
2. Advise and assist management in fulfilling obligations concerning prevention of injuries and maintaining a safe workplace.
3. Safety Inspections
Conduct regular plant safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
4. Recommend corrective actions and monitor implementation.
5. Accident Investigation
Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, and occupational diseases.
6. Maintain records and submit statutory reports to authorities.
7. Training & Awareness
Organize safety training programs, mock drills, and awareness campaigns.
Promote safety culture through workshops, posters, and safety committees.
8. Protective Equipment
Ensure availability and quality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
9. Advise purchase and stores departments on safety equipment standards.
10. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accident registers, inspection reports, and compliance records.
11. Prepare monthly safety performance reports for management review.
Qualifications
1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety / Environmental Science.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial safety role.
3. Knowledge of Indian safety regulations, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001, and EHS standards.
4. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
5. Certification in Industrial Safety (Govt. approved) preferred.
Physical & Behavioral Requirements
- Ability to conduct Safety Inspections across shop floors and production areas.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with PPE.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence workers and management.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
