Position Overview
As a Café Service Associate, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring that every guest enjoys a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining experience. Your role encompasses taking and delivering orders, maintaining a clean environment, and fostering positive relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet and seat guests promptly, offering menus and informing them of daily specials.
- Order Management: Accurately take food and beverage orders, relay them to the kitchen, and serve items in a timely manner.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer customer inquiries effectively.
- Sales & Upselling: Promote and upsell menu items, including beverages and desserts, to enhance the dining experience.
- Payment Processing: Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately, providing receipts and processing payments efficiently.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, and ensuring restrooms are tidy.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Customer Feedback: Address customer concerns or complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
