Job Description:
Sappy Biofuels Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and responsible Plant Operator to manage and supervise the daily operations of our Biodiesel Production Plant in Kanpur. The candidate will handle equipment, monitor processes, ensure safety, and maintain product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor biodiesel plant equipment (reactors, pumps, centrifuges, boilers, etc.)
- Handle raw materials (vegetable oils, animal tallow, used cooking oil, methanol, catalysts) safely.
- Monitor transesterification process and ensure proper biodiesel & glycerin separation.
- Maintain safety protocols while working with flammable and corrosive chemicals.
- Conduct quality checks and record production data.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- ITI/Diploma/Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Prior experience in chemical plant / biodiesel / oil & gas / pharma operations is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of chemical processes, safety standards, and quality control.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
