Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the organization's financial strategy, planning, and management. The CFO provides strategic financial leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, manages financial risks, and supports sustainable business growth through effective financial planning and analysis.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Support long-term business planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
Financial Management
- Oversee all accounting, finance, treasury, taxation, and audit functions.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and business risks.
- Maintain internal control systems and risk management policies.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance.
- Evaluate business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and investment proposals.
- Support operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Build high-performing financial management capabilities within the organization.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced financial management and strategic planning expertise.
Experience
- 12–20+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Minimum 5–10 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams and boards.
- Proven track record in financial planning, corporate finance, and risk management.
