Gappeo is hiring a Junior React Developer to join our product engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers and early-career developers (0–1 year experience) who want to build real-world, production-grade web applications used by recruiters and candidates every day. If you've built projects with React, love clean UI, and want to grow fast inside a product team, this role is for you.
About the Role
As a Junior React Developer at Gappeo, you will work closely with senior engineers and designers to build and ship features on our recruitment and hiring platform. You'll get hands-on experience converting Figma designs into reusable React components, integrating REST APIs, writing clean and testable code, and participating in real code reviews — the kind of experience that fast-tracks a fresher's career into a confident mid-level developer within 12–18 months.
What You'll Do
- Build responsive, accessible React applications used by thousands of recruiters and candidates
- Convert UI/UX designs (Figma) into clean, reusable React components
- Integrate REST APIs and handle real-world data states (loading, error, empty, success)
- Participate actively in code reviews and sprint planning
- Follow coding standards, write maintainable code, and contribute to component libraries
- Debug, test, and continuously improve existing features
What We're Looking For
- Solid understanding of React fundamentals (components, props, state, hooks)
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Familiarity with TypeScript (academic or project-based experience is fine)
- Basic Git version control skills (clone, commit, branch, merge, pull requests)
- Understanding of how to consume REST APIs in a frontend application
- A Computer Science degree, related field, or equivalent self-taught/project experience
- 0–1 year of professional experience — freshers are strongly encouraged to apply
