. Job Objective
- Execute Continuous Improvement projects through structured data collection and analysis by
developing action plans along with the Project teams
- Provide support to project leaders in creating data collection plans, conducting observation
studies, develop actions to ensure on time project delivery
- Execute change management events in-line with CI roadmap
- Execute the technical and analytical capability building for the plant in order to achieve
operational excellence
B. Primary responsibilities
Strategic and planning
- Support the Plant in execution of CI strategy
- Participate in yearly Improvement area Identification exercise, make a list of them and execute the
projects as per the agreed upon plan
Functional
Core
- Execute the CI initiatives and measure effectiveness vis-a-vis the envisaged project outcome
- Execute the project plans along with project leaders for all identified CI projects in the plant
- Analyse project data using lean six sigma tools through Minitab and conduct observation
studies/trials in every project
- Coordinate with Project Leaders for action plans & Engineering solutions for project delivery (for
every CI project at the plant)
- Monitor and communicate project status, team attendance, periodically to the Plant CIC team &
Project team
- Provide Documentation support to the project teams
- Support in execution of Technical Training Calendar
- Facilitate implementation of Kaizen Mechanisms to drive small improvements across the plant
- Execute observation studies/trials along with Plant team using systemic tools
- Creation of training modules for various CI and Technical Trainings
- Implement Visual Management practices in shop floor along with HODs
- Conduct 5 S audits with HOD production and circulate reports.
- Facilitate Small Group Activity teams / Quality Circle Teams for Problem Solving
Internal process
- Escalate delays and non-compliances to CI Manager and HODs
- Creation of Projects Dashboard for CI Manager’s Review
- Execute the projects on potential areas of improvements and track the implementation of the
same.
- Prepare and share the implementation status of Kaizen and group activity with CI Manager
People development
- Train the identified associates by respective process owners for various initiatives
- Train the people for CI practices
- Support in execution of Quarterly Kaizen Events, yearly Six Sigma Project competitions for
associates.
