Job Summary
We are seeking a warm, creative, and nurturing Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher to guide young children through a play-based, nature-centered, and holistic learning environment. The teacher will support children’s physical, emotional, social, and creative development through storytelling, artistic activities, movement, rhythm, music, practical life skills, and outdoor exploration following Waldorf educational principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, joyful, and rhythm-based classroom environment.
- Plan and conduct Waldorf-inspired daily activities for kindergarten children.
- Lead circle time, storytelling, songs, rhymes, puppetry, and movement activities.
- Organize creative experiences such as watercolor painting, drawing, clay work, crafts, and nature activities.
- Encourage imaginative play and social interaction.
- Guide children in practical life activities such as gardening, baking, cleaning, and self-care routines.
- Maintain a calm and aesthetically pleasing classroom atmosphere using natural materials.
- Observe and support each child’s developmental and emotional needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events, seasonal festivals, and teacher meetings.
- Ensure classroom safety, hygiene, and positive behavior guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Waldorf Education, or related field.
- Certification or training in Waldorf Education is preferred.
- Experience working with kindergarten or preschool children.
- Strong storytelling, singing, and classroom management skills.
- Patience, creativity, warmth, and a love for working with young children.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Waldorf philosophy and child development.
- Ability to create handmade teaching materials and crafts.
- Interest in nature-based and experiential learning.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic music, art, or handwork skills are an added advantage.
