About the Role
The Customer Solutions Design Professional assist the creation of end-to-end technical designs and solutions which meet customer needs.
What You'll Be Doing
Capture customer requirements, develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities.
Prepare documents like HLDs/LLDs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc.
Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
Work with a variety of external customers internally and externally.
Engage with multiple teams across various verticals like PM, SRMs, Operations, etc. to ensure that BT security requirements are considered when delivering/developing new services.
Essential Skills / Experience
Technical Skills
- NGFW: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Check Point, Cisco, etc.
- Proxy: Zscaler, Blue Coat
- VPN: SSL, IKE v1 & v2
- Microsegmentation: Illumio
Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols such as:
- Advanced Persistent Threats (APT)
- Cloud Security (AWS, Azure)
- Sandboxing
- VA/PT
- PKI
Experience in Illumio architecture, implementation, labels, and VEN with strong knowledge of application and nano-segmentation best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
Experience You Would Be Expected to Have
- Core experience in Network and Information Security.
- Hands-on experience in security systems, including NGFW, IPS/IDS, Proxy, AAA, Microsegmentation (Illumio), etc.
- Experience managing design projects independently.
