Job Title: Site Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring day-to-day construction activities to ensure that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating manpower, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers while ensuring proper documentation, material control, and compliance with company policies and statutory safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise and monitor all day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project schedule.
- Allocate daily work to laborers, contractors, and subcontractors based on project requirements.
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers to resolve execution-related issues.
- Verify that construction activities comply with approved methods and company standards.
- Identify site constraints and recommend corrective actions to minimize delays.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure all construction work meets prescribed quality standards and technical specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of ongoing and completed work.
- Report quality deviations and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Minimize rework by maintaining quality checks throughout the execution process.
- Coordinate with engineers and consultants during inspections.
3. Material Management
- Verify receipt of construction materials at the site.
- Ensure materials conform to approved quality and quantity specifications.
- Monitor material consumption and prevent unnecessary wastage.
- Coordinate with the procurement and store departments for timely availability of materials.
- Maintain records of material receipts, issues, and utilization.
4. Workforce Management
- Supervise labor productivity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower.
- Maintain daily labor attendance and deployment records.
- Coordinate with contractors regarding workforce availability.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to site rules among workers.
- Address workforce-related operational issues at the site.
5. Safety Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Verify the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to the reporting manager.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Maintain records of daily work completed, manpower deployed, materials received, and site activities.
- Update site registers and inspection records accurately.
- Report project progress, delays, resource requirements, and operational challenges to the Project Manager.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and project records.
7. Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
- Facilitate communication between the site team and project management.
- Ensure timely resolution of site-related issues through effective coordination.
- Attend site meetings and implement agreed action plans.
8.Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and local regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the construction site.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of construction materials and equipment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in construction safety or project supervision will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in construction site supervision.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or real estate projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of construction methods and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of BOQ and construction specifications.
- Knowledge of RCC, masonry, finishing, and structural works.
- Material inspection and quantity verification.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
