Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineering Faculty Member
1. Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering.
- Design, develop, and regularly update course syllabi, lecture materials, and laboratory manuals.
- Prepare and deliver lectures using effective teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
- Assess student learning through examinations, assignments, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Supervise laboratory sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on experiments to reinforce theoretical concepts.
2. Research and Innovation
- Conduct high-quality research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
- Develop research proposals and secure external funding from government agencies, research councils, and industry partners.
- Supervise undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. research projects and theses.
- Establish and maintain advanced laboratories to support research and innovation in areas such as power systems, electronics, control systems, renewable energy, embedded systems, and automation.
- Foster interdisciplinary research collaborations with academic institutions and industry.
3. Mentorship and Student Development
- Provide academic advising on course selection, degree planning, and academic performance.
- Mentor students regarding research opportunities, internships, higher education, and career development.
- Support and supervise student technical organizations, IEEE student branches, hackathons, competitions, and engineering clubs.
- Encourage students to participate in innovation challenges, entrepreneurship initiatives, and professional development activities.
4. Academic and Institutional Service
- Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and outreach programs.
- Contribute to departmental strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Professional Development
- Stay current with advances in Electrical Engineering through continuous learning and professional training.
- Collaborate with industry and research organizations to strengthen academic-industry partnerships.
- Maintain active membership in professional societies such as IEEE and contribute to the broader engineering community.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
