Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for day to day execution and control of the manufacturing functions of SPS processes including paint shop to produce and supply components of superior quality and quantity at minimum cost and in committed time schedule to meet the manufacturing function objectives.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Work towards achievement of production goals and targets in terms of quality, quantity, and cost effectiveness.
- Suggest and implement innovative ideas to reduce cost and improve productivity and efficiency.
- Work towards reducing rejections so as to save costs and produce outputs that are as per specified quality standards and as per customer requirements.
- Enable customer satisfaction by driving efficiency in internal processes within the section.
- Execute appropriate, suitable actions towards customer complaints, so as to facilitate both customer retention as well as identify methods that helps in preventing such breakdowns from recurring.
- Ensure Daily Check at Paint Booth area to adhere Daily maintenance Check list.
- Ensure previous stages are closed in ERP / Router.
- Ensure manual cleaning and Paint Preparation process carried out as per control plan.
- Ensure masking the Parts (If Applicable).
- Execute painting of the parts as per Control Plan.
- Execute curing of the Parts at Oven as per Control Plan .
- Execute Un Racking From the Oven.
- Conduct Self Inspection to Ensure the Process Control Quality requirements.
- Touch-up the parts at the at the racking area.
- Execute packing with VCI Paper.
- Ensure updation in ERP to Next operation.
- Offer the Parts to Inspection.
- Ensure Work centre Cleanliness.
- Imbibe and Implement the TQM culture among the entire team.
- Implement the requirements of Change management projects among entire Painting function.
- Ensure adherence to Business Excellence processes in all activities related to the section, through training, practicing, audits and corrective actions.
- Oversee the workflow and work assignments of the team to ensure effective collaboration among teams, team members and consistent, quality work.
- Work towards continuous improvements in material, machine utilization and process to improve department & individual productivity, and quality of the product.
- Suggest new ideas and methods in processes.
- Work towards Improvement of manufacturing efficiency by analysis of work flow.
- Coordinate with the automation team to identify use cases and drive automation / process improvement initiatives within the section.
- Suggest and use the latest technologies and tools for all activities within the section
- Drive continuous learning and skilling of operators on soft and hard skills essential for the section.
- Track performance measures of the operators and individuals to consistently provide feedback and improve performance.
- Train operator / technician to improve their skill set and ensure defect free products.
