Educational Qualifications
Basic Degree: BSc Nursing or Post Basic BSc Nursing. (Some hospitals accept GNM with extra experience).
Registration: Valid, active license with the State Nursing Council.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of clinical and supervisory experience
Core Job Responsibilities
Staff Management & Scheduling
Create schedules: Make duty rosters for nurses so every shift is fully staffed.
Monitor attendance: Manage leave requests and shift changes.
Handle discipline: Maintain staff morale and address rule violations.
Patient Care & Safety
Hospital rounds: Walk through wards daily to check on patients and ensure high care standards.
Quality checks: Review daily reports and patient records.
Manage complaints: Listen to patient families and quickly fix any care issues.
Equipment & Supply Management
Track inventory: Ensure wards have enough medicine, syringes, and linens.
Check machines: Verify that emergency equipment (like oxygen tanks and monitors) works perfectly.
Training & Education
Train new staff: Orient newly hired nurses to hospital rules.
Run classes: Teach specialized nursing skills and safety procedures.
Host meetings: Lead regular team meetings to discuss new medical rules.
Administration & Teamwork
Act as a bridge: Connect floor nurses with the hospital's top management.
Audit care: Measure how well the nursing team meets hospital and government health goals.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
