Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Operations: Manage the entire India office, establish new processes, and lead regional operations independently.
· Sourcing & Cost Management: Send RFQs to manufacturers, deeply analyze prices, make cost calculations, and execute strategic price comparisons.
· Order Execution: Finalize order details, skillfully negotiate prices, prepare necessary documents, and coordinate production directly with the Sales Dept. and manufacturers.
· End-to-End Export Process: Take overall charge of managing the procurement and export processes, including coordinating shipments and arranging necessary shipping documents.
· Vendor Audits: Visit and audit new suitable manufacturers when necessary.
· Process registrations: identify manufacturers, provide prices, conditions and terms, collect the documents.
· Crisis Management: Provide effective solutions for difficult situations or bottlenecks in the supply chain.
Requirements:
· Core Industry Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct experience in Sales (Export Dept.) or the Procurement Dept. dealing specifically with FINISHED PHARMACEUTICALS.
· Overall Experience: 7 to 12 years of total experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, and exporting within the pharmaceutical and/or medical products industry.
· Leadership & Management: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience managing people or a team. The candidate must possess the maturity and capability to lead the entire India operations independently.
· Regional Expertise: Strong understanding of North India business practices and a robust network of reliable vendor contacts.
· Communication Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Hindi proficiently. Strong, assertive negotiation skills are essential.
· Technical & Organizational Skills: Sufficient computer skills for the use of ERP systems and Windows (Word, Excel, etc.). High ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain strong organizational skills.
· Long-Term Vision: Willing to commit to at least 2 years in our expanding company.
