Job Description
INTERMARC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across our project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and client requirements.
- Prepare safety reports, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain safe work practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at project sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Safety Management.
- 3–5 years of experience in construction, interior fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Experience working on commercial, corporate, or government projects.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
