Job Summary
The Medical Content Writer will be responsible for developing clear, evidence-based, and SEO-friendly content for healthcare and medical clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong research skills, excellent written English, and the ability to simplify complex medical concepts for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, edit, and proofread medical and healthcare-related content.
- Develop blogs, website pages, articles, patient education materials, newsletters, and social media content.
- Create SEO-optimized content while maintaining medical accuracy and readability.
- Interpret scientific journals, clinical studies, and medical guidelines to produce credible content.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists, content strategists, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality content.
- Ensure all content is original, factually accurate, and aligned with client requirements.
- Update and optimize existing medical content based on the latest research and best practices.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related healthcare discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in medical, healthcare, or scientific content writing
- Excellent written English with strong grammar and editing skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Basic understanding of SEO content writing principles.
- Ability to interpret and summarize scientific literature accurately.
Preferred Skills
- Experience writing for healthcare websites, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, or digital health brands.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
- Knowledge of medical referencing styles such as AMA, APA, or Vancouver.
- Experience using AI-assisted writing tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining content quality.
