Job Summary
We are hiring a Cutting Master to plan fabric layouts and execute precise cutting operations for garment production. The role focuses on maintaining cutting accuracy, efficient fabric utilisation and minimising material wastage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fabric lay plans to optimise material utilisation.
- Operate cutting machines to cut fabric as per patterns and markers.
- Check cut panels for accuracy against specifications and patterns.
- Coordinate with pattern and stitching departments on cutting plans.
- Minimise fabric wastage through efficient marker planning.
- Maintain cutting room records, including fabric consumption.
- Train cutting helpers and supervise cutting room activities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a Cutting Master in a garment manufacturing unit.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, lay planning and cutting techniques.
- Ability to read patterns and specification sheets accurately.
- Experience with straight knife or band knife cutting machines.
- Good coordination with production and pattern teams.
- Attention to detail and focus on material utilisation.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
