Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Counsellor to join our team in Birbhum, West Bengal. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students, understanding their educational and career goals, explaining suitable programs, and assisting them throughout the decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding career options, courses, and educational opportunities.
- Understand students' interests, skills, academic background, and career goals.
- Provide personalized career guidance and recommend suitable programs.
- Conduct counselling sessions through phone calls, face-to-face meetings, or other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and parents regularly.
- Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, leads, and follow-ups.
- Convert interested candidates into enrollments/admissions.
- Coordinate with the internal team regarding student requirements and admissions.
- Handle student queries professionally and provide timely solutions.
- Achieve assigned counselling and enrollment targets.
- Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students and parents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in counselling, education, admissions, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Hindi/Bengali communication skills; English will be an added advantage.
- Strong convincing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand students' needs and provide appropriate guidance.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Comfortable working with targets and follow-ups.
- Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.
