About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Compiler Engineer to lead the development of the system software stack bridging custom silicon and high-performance applications. This role focuses on compiler infrastructure, embedded firmware, Linux kernel optimization, and real-time signal processing with sub-millisecond latency requirements.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering production-grade LLVM compiler pipelines within semiconductor organizations, embedded system bring-up, and formal verification for safety-critical real-time systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom LLVM backend passes, including SelectionDAG, GlobalISel, MIR optimizations, and register allocator enhancements.
- Build compiler fuzzing infrastructure and formal verification frameworks using Alive2, SMT/SAT solvers, and differential testing to ensure compiler correctness.
- Develop embedded device drivers and communication protocol stacks including:
- Work with Linux Kernel, RT-PREEMPT, SCHED_FIFO, kernel modules, and deterministic real-time scheduling.
- Optimize applications across CPU and GPU architectures using profiling and debugging tools
- Author Software Requirements Documents (SRDs) and Software Design Documents (SDDs).
- Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
- Collaborate with hardware teams during silicon bring-up, BSP development, and pre tape-out activities.
